Co-host and sponsor FAQ

Quick answers for partners working on someone else's event.

Roles

What is the difference between a co-host and a sponsor? A co-host runs the event with the primary host. A sponsor supports it and manages the guest list. See Co-hosts and sponsors: what each role can do.

Can I be a co-host on one event and a primary host on another? Yes. Your role is set per event.

Can my colleagues help? Yes. Everyone in your organization shares your organization's access to the event.

Money

Do I need to pay to co-host or sponsor? No.

Why can't I see the total budget? Sponsors see only their own ask. Co-hosts see the full budget.

Does Freshmint take payment for the sponsorship? No. Payment happens directly between you and the host.

Sharing

Where is my link? Open the event, select Share and choose Copy event link. It carries your attribution code.

How do I know my sharing is working? On the Attendees tab, filter Attributed To by your organization.

I shared the wrong link. Registrations through a link without your code are not credited to you. Send your own link from now on.

Permissions

Why can't I edit the event page? Sponsors cannot edit the page. Co-hosts can.

Can I approve attendees? Yes, once you are confirmed. Co-hosts and sponsors can manage attendees.

Can I invite other partners? Co-hosts can invite co-hosts and sponsors. Sponsors cannot.

Can I cancel the event? No. Only the primary host can.

Account

I created my account from an invitation. Can I host my own events? Yes. Your account works for hosting and co-hosting. Create an event from your Dashboard.

Can I switch organizations? Each account belongs to one organization. Contact support@freshmint.ai if you need to move.
