Create and publish your first event

In Freshmint you build an event by editing its page directly. What you see while you edit is what attendees see. When you publish, the event is live and ready to share. There is no separate draft stage.

Build the page

1. From Dashboard or Events, select Create Event.
2. Click each part of the page to fill it in:
   • Title.
   • Date and time, with start, end and timezone. The start must be in the future and the end after the start.
   • Location. Search for the venue. If it is in a different timezone from the one you set, Freshmint asks which to use. Your times stay as you entered them either way. You can add arrival instructions.
   • Description. Say what makes the event worth attending, who it is for, and anything people need to know.
   • Event image. Upload a PNG, JPG or GIF up to 4MB. A square image works best. Or let Freshmint design a cover for you.
   • Capacity, the number of attendees you can seat.
3. Optional: open Registration Questions to add your own questions. See Registration questions.
4. Optional: fill in the Sponsors section if you want co-hosts or sponsors. See Your sponsor package and sponsor link.

Reimagine with AI sits next to the title, description, cover and theme. Tell it what to change, or leave it blank to try again. See Design your event page.

Preview and publish

Use Preview to see the page as an attendee or as a co-host. On a phone or a desktop, switch views from the toolbar.

Select Publish. If Freshmint is still designing your AI cover, Publish waits for it. You can choose Publish without cover instead and add one later.

Once published, the event is Active: the page is live and people can register. Copy the link from the event's Overview tab or the Share menu.

What happens next

• Freshmint writes your AI emails within about a minute. Read them over before they send.
• New registrations arrive on the Attendees tab. See Manage attendees.
• You can keep editing after publishing. See Edit an event after publishing.

If you started building before signing in, Freshmint asks you to sign in when you publish and keeps what you entered.

Common questions

How many events can I create? Unlimited, on every plan.

Can I unpublish an event? No. You can cancel it, which tells everyone involved, or delete it. See Cancel or delete an event.
